Social Imprints is a U.S. Leader in "Green Printing"

When you work with Social Imprints, you actively support wise use of natural resources. We are specialists in sustainable production of printed and embroidered promotional products. We use resource-saving direct-to-screen computer technology, soy inks, FSC-certified paper products, and 100% phosphate-free inks.

Eco-Friendly
Screenprinting

Our cutting-edge technology allows us to employ the most eco-friendly processes in the screen printing industry.

First, our computer-to-screen (CTS) technology eliminates the costly and wasteful films used by traditional screen printing processes. The direct-to-screen system also eliminates harmful emissions. Most screen printing shops use costly thermal films, or an image setter, both of which consume non-recyclable plastics and silver nitrate. Our computer-to-screen technology uses a biodegradable wax to image screens, greatly reducing waste.

Social Imprints uses 100% phthalate-free inks. (See our ink supplier's compliance report.)

Full-Color
Paper Printing

Social Imprints' eco-friendly supply chain is the result of years of painstaking research and hard work. Our production process is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and is powered entirely by wind energy.

Our production facility's sourcing practices have earned the FSC's Chain-of-Custody Certification.

Our paper vendor, Unisource Worldwide, is the first distributor to earn chain-of-custody certification from all three national programs that recognize responsible forestry. These certifications guarantee that almost all of our house paper stocks come from well-managed forests that adhere to strict environmental and socio-economic standards.

We are proud to use paper made by Oji Paper Group for our main house stocks. Japan-based Oji adheres to that country's incredibly strict environmental standards. For example, Oji obtains 60% of its pulp from recovered paper, and nearly all the rest from its own well-managed tree plantations.

When you hire Social Imprints, you can show your commitment to the environment and green printing practices by displaying the following certifications on your website and marketing materials. If you'd like more information about our green practices, please call or email Kevin McCracken: 415-956-0269
